Dog walker in Ness IslandsThe greeninverness partnership is an emerging partnership that has been established as a result of funding available from the Scottish Executive’s City Review Fund. A key objective of the Inverness City Vision drawn up by the city partnership is to enhance and develop the environmental assets of the city through a purposeful investment programme addressing existing projects in the riverside areas of the city, Castle Motte and the Green Wedges’ identified in the revised Inverness Local Plan. Aerial vew of Inverness

During October 2006 significant community consultation was carried out to add value to the previous consultation carried out during 2004 for the production of the greenspace audit, the most recent consultation has fed into the newly adopted greenspace strategy and action plan for Inverness.
